Multimedia Artist & Researcher
Sound, data, and cultural heritage
through interactive technologies and AI.
Electroacoustic composition, interactive systems, immersive environments. Exploring the intersections of sound, artificial intelligence, and cultural heritage through Progressive Web Applications.
Featured research
Soundscape Annotation
An open source research ecosystem that brings human listening and machine listening into dialogue. A Python toolkit for computational soundscape analysis, the first-hand annotation PWA Soundscape Annotation Atelier and a working paper published on Zenodo share a 128-term controlled vocabulary across 8 taxonomies, from Schaeffer to Wishart.
The resulting six-stage teaching workflow is adopted in courses at the Academy of Fine Arts of Macerata and at the G.B. Martini Conservatory of Bologna, where the divergences between ear and machine become teaching material and system calibration.
Research projects
Interactive applications exploring the intersections of sound, AI and cultural heritage. Each project is available as a Progressive Web Application.

Terra Viva
ArtSonification of Copernicus satellite imagery and historical climate data for the ESA Frascati 2026 symposium. Granular synthesis, harmonic drones, Schumann resonance.

Soundscape Annotation Atelier
CultureFirst-hand soundscape annotation with a controlled vocabulary of 128 terms across 8 taxonomies, from Schaeffer to Wishart. Software artefact of the Soundscape Annotation working paper (Zenodo DOI).

SacredTexts AI
CultureAI analysis, concept graph and generative sonification of 48 sacred texts from 8 traditions. Born within the PNRR ITSERR research on AI and religious heritage.

Sacred Sound Radio Hub
Culture63 radio stations from 10 spiritual traditions on an interactive map, with a comparative AI explorer. The living sound corpus of the religious heritage research.

Ficana 1891
CultureA sound exploration of the rammed-earth village. 8 narrative chapters, field recording missions, a geographic mixer. Villa Ficana research line.

Graphic Score Generator
ArtFrom sound description to graphic score. A 799-term morphological vocabulary on Schaefferian axes, FFT analysis of real sound, Bertin-style visual mapping.
